For years, now, there has been a debate about whether or not SEO services are dead, or if they are still providing the same value that they once did. With all the new trends in the online world, such as social media marketing, some people in the industry are claiming that search engine optimization in and of itself is no longer as valid as it once was. Studies have shown, though, that SEO is as alive and well as it ever was.
While it is true that more and more people are focused on their social networks, and this is generating a lot of traffic and sales, this has not diminished the way people use a search engine. People still turn to the major search engines to find the listing for the local or national services and products that they need, and this trend does not show any signs of slowing. So while it has become extremely important to be part of the social network scene, online success will require some effective search engine optimization services.
There are, of course, a lot of companies out there that provide SEO services, and the most effective companies will be able to incorporate these new trends with their regular optimization services. SEO is definitely not dead, but it is evolving. It wasn’t that long ago that an SEO firm could get away with simple on-page optimization techniques, but now it has to do so much more. Some of the traditional techniques are still useful, but the firm has to be read to adapt in order to stay alive.
